Dean’s greeting

The Vocational College represents a component of the Hungarian system of talent
management, constituting a distinct legal institution and a self-active association within the
Hungarian higher education system. Its objective is to establish an optimal environment for its
constituents, namely students of higher education institutions, thereby enabling them to attain
high professional standards that meet international standards.
The Selye János Szakkollégium (Selye János College) is a centre of excellence for full-time,
part-time, undergraduate, master’s and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Health
Sciences at the University of Miskolc.
The institution offers a training programme to its most talented and dedicated members,
equipping them with the necessary skills to embark on fruitful careers in scientific research and
publication. The programme is designed to foster the development of individual competencies
and creative thinking, in addition to instilling essential skills in effective teamwork, self-
management and career progression. The programme is designed to foster not only personal
and professional development, but also to cultivate social skills, build social networks, and
foster a sense of community and collaboration among participants.
