2024. május 30-31. között került megrendezésre a Miskolci Egyetemen a XXXVII. microCAD konferencia. A rendezvényen hazai és külföldi kutatók, szakemberek és PhD hallgatók mutatták be a kutatási eredményeiket. A konferencia egyik fő fókuszterülete a szociális és egészségügyi szakterületeket érintő innovációk. A nyitó plenáris ülésen két nemzetközileg elismert akadémikus mellett, Dr. Németh Gábor a Miskolci Egyetem Egészségtudományi Karának egyetemi docense is tartott előadást A mesterséges intelligencia elméleti és gyakorlati alkalmazásai a szemészetben (Theoretical and practical applications of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology) címmel.
